Sephora V.I.B. Event Haul

Happy Friday everyone! Sadly I'll be working the weekend but I hope that you all will have nice, relaxing Saturdays and Sundays.

So last weekend Sephora had their V.I.B. 20% off shopping event, and I figured it was about time to pick up a few more items to review on the blog. I picked up Smashbox's new Halo eyeshadow duo, Clinique's Superbalanced Powder Makeup (requested by a reader and I do aim to please here at ABS), and Cover FX's SkinPrep primer (it was only $8 and of course they stacked them by the register to tempt me - I couldn't resist). Plus I got this great clutch full of samples in addition to my 20% off.

Check out the contents of my clutch after the jump!

Ahhh this makes me so jealous! I'm a VIB but I never got the email so I couldn't go into the stores. It made me sad.
I'm super excited for the Clinique review and I recently tried the CoverFX powder foundation, which I loveeee. Can't wait to see what you think about their primer!

I can't wait for the reviews. I've been trying to get my hands on some Smashbox for a while now.

Lucky you! They were out of the clutch by Thursday night. I brought home Caudalie Premier Cru La Creme, a Rouge Dior lipstick in 713 Must-See Mauve and Boscia Oil-free Daily Hydtation (for DS).

About the Caudalie: I'd used a sample from Sephora for a week, and already saw a difference - lightening and evening of pigmentation.

Very nice haul! I was able to get the clutch too with my purchase when I took my friend to the VIB night. It was fun! And I looove their clutch w/ sample promos - the clutches are always so cute! I totally still have my silver one from when they did the same thing a few years ago.

And ooooh, I just looked up that CoverFX primer and I am intrigued! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it!

Awww Christina you should have let me know I would have been more than happy to forward mine onto you! I think all the e-mails were the same for VIB's so as long as you had your card you could've used it.

I'll be comparing the Clinique to the YSL Semi-Loose Powder soon!

Tala I've been curious about these new Smashbox eyeshadows - you just shave off the amount you need, plus they're supposed to be hydrating.

Awww Soos that stinks!

I've been so curious about the Caudalie Premier Cru - I wish I'd gotten a sample of it to try, it sounds like you're having some amazing results!

Catherine the clutch really is adorable - I've never gotten one of the Sephora clutches (I figured they weren't worth the effort) but I'm impressed!

Ezzie I absolutely LOVE free samples. I never actually get around to using them LOL, but I do like to hoard them.

I never tried Clinique until recently, then on a whim I went in and got a moisturiser from them and their High Impact mascara. I think both are actually really great products, except for one small hiccup - the mascara makes my eyes STING. I've used it a couple of times to check that's really what it is, and lo' and behold, no matter how great it looks on (and it really does) it hurts! Never had that from-- any make-up at all before, so that's kind've perplexing.

Ana I've really been enjoying their High Impact Mascara as well, but for me the smudging makes it a no-go for me. Dior's DiorShow did the same thing to me which was weird.
