Knowing how curious we've been about Big Happie Hair's Bumpits and whether or not they actually work, Kayvid was sweet enough to review them for us and to send along this great photo of what they look like in her gorgeous hair (I know I've been dying to see these in the hair of someone other than those models on the cheesy infomercial-esque commercials that they do)! I'm definitely convinced and will be ordering a set as soon as my wallet permits. Here's her review:
After reading about this on Jen's ABS blog it was like a light bulb went on in my head. This is exactly what I had been looking for all my life. LOL! Dramatic, I know. But my hair used to be very silky and hence very unmanageable. Now it's not so silky but is still very difficult to manage or style. Besides, I don't do anything to style it. I at most dry my hair with a blow dryer and that's it.
So I ordered these and received them today. I ran to the vanity to try this. As you can see in the picture, it does deliver what it promises. I personally don't even feel like I have anything in my hair. I did not even comb my hair for this pic: I ran to the mirror, parted my hair at the crown with my finger, placed bumpit and tied a small pony tail of half the hair. And Presto! There it is...the Anne-Hathaway Poufy Ponytail I have strived for since ages but never achieved. I have not used any products in this pic either. It's just hair and bumpit with a band to tie the hair.
Do not expect that the shape of the clip will fit your head (mine doesn't) but still if you place it right and pull enough hair over it, it does give that pouf we all want in our hair. I strongly recommend this to the readers of ABS and anyone interested in this little product.
Thanks for sharing your review with us!

Kayvid: Yay! That's me...Thanks Jen for honouring me with a spot on your blog :-)
Awww thank you for the review and for supplying me with such a great photo! You seriously have such beautiful hair it looks so healthy and shiny.
I was afraid the the Bumpits would create a massive bump and look terribly unnatural, but they look so great on you!
Oh and I meant to ask you--did you end up with the dark brown shade or the black? I've been having trouble deciding. Thanks!
Kayvid: I got the black one...cause I'm growing out my color and the base color/original color of my hair is black. And luckily so, cause brown and black are probably the most discreet ones you can get. And yes, these aren't huge at all...I guess depends on which package you get. I got a regular large and on my giant head it seems proportionate enough :-)
And thank you for all the sweet words about my hair. I enjoyed reviewing for your blog. I'd have my own blog if I weren't so lazy :-)
Thanks for the response! I'm thinking I may go with brown since I do plan on coloring my hair soon, but I may regret it. I'll have to think about it. I have so much trouble with these little decisions lol.
My head is giant too so hopefully they'll work! I'll probably end up with the brunette set. I'm so excited to try the minis!
Kayvid: Awesome! Promise that you will let me know how these work out for you, ok?
I'll definitely be posting whited out face photos too! =P
Sometimes I think I'm too lazy to have a blog as well =X. Most mornings I think to myself "well maybe I just won't update today" lol.
OoOoo very pretty! Thanks for posting pics Kayvid!
Aleksis I'm thinking these I can squeeze into my budget! =) Although there are still so many Sephora things I want!
I've been waiting for this post! Thanks!!
Please let us know how it works out for you. I'm worried it will fall out with normal activity. That would be very embarrassing =p
Verdandi I just ordered these myself and expect them to arrive any day now so will be adding my own review to Kayvid's wonderful one--definitely check back for it! It should be next Monday or so so that I've had a few days to test it out and play with it!
yay this is great, some people say it works, and then others dont, but I guess it depends one what kind of hair you have.
anonymous it definitely depends on your hair type and how good you are with your hair, but once you get the hang of it it's pretty great. i can't live without my baby bumpit, it goes EVERYWHERE with me!
